Licensing Note
New Mexico requires HVAC licensing and 4 years of experience. Completing an apprenticeship can satisfy the experience requirements for the Journeyman Mechanical License (MM98), regulated by the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department – Construction Industries Division. New Mexico also requires 8 hours of continuing education to renew.
